Take a look below at the inspirational message and story of Lori Cooper, an APOLLO Community Advisory Council (CAC) member who has been registered as an organ donor since 1994.

"APOLLO has given me the rare opportunity to help bridge the gap between African Americans and kidney health. As a donor, I recognize the importance of informing the African American community about kidney health and donation. Through APOLLO, I have helped to advance chronic kidney disease (CKD) research. I am able to confidentially share facts about CKD and donation with my community."

Take a look below at the inspirational message from Dr. Patrick Gee, a devoted APOLLO Community Advisory Council (CAC) member.

"In my experience with Chronic Kidney Disease, I am reminded that someone made the ultimate sacrifice so that I may live. As a result, I approach my responsibilities within APOLLO with utmost dedication and commitment, always striving to serve others with diligence and compassion."
